Mission Statement
The primary mission and purpose of the Dundee Middle School Media Center is to support the curriculum and to meet the informational and personal interest needs of the students and the instructional and professional needs of the staff.
GENERAL INFORMATION
The Middle School Media Center is located on the first floor in the Middle School in the main hallway. There is a large collection of print and nonprint items. The nonprint items include: audiocassettes, DVDs, kits and videocassettes. The media center has several Accelerated Reader titles and the quizzes can be accessed online. The Dundee Public Library also assists the Middle School with this program by helping students choose AR books.
Computers are available for student and faculty use. There is access to the following databases: Career Cruising, Grolier Online, and MEL. Ask the media center staff for the passwords for home use.
The Distance Learning Lab (DLL) is located next to the media center. Computers are available for student and faculty use. Mrs. Liedel is in charge of scheduling the lab. A teacher's station and an LCD projector are available for instructional use. The lab is also available for virtual field trips, videoconferencing, and other distance learning activities.
STAFF AND HOURS
The staff includes the media center paraprofessional, Nancy Liedel. The district media specialist, due to her schedule, is available to the Middle School on a limited basis. If she has an opening in her schedule, she is willing to work with students and staff as needed.

Monday-Wednesday 8:00-2:15
Thursday 8:00-1:00
Friday 8:00-11:00

CIRCULATION POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
Books may be checked out for one week. They may be renewed. Magazines are checked out at the discretion of the media center staff. No fines are assessed, but a student must pay for an item that he/she has lost.
